Ancient Peoples Thought That The Raven Flew Between The Worlds; And Was The Messenger For The Gods.
It Seems Ideal That The Raven Should Represent Our Reporting of What is Going on in the World of the Paranormal on the Internet.
In the first 3R report, we will hit the basics; in other words, what scientific justification is there, if any, for psychic functioning?
Here, as well as the rest of the Avian Empire, we put a lot of emphasis on what we learn through psychic means. After all, we are channels ourselves. So, is there any scientific evidence that can show that what we do is real?
We are here surfing the web, and we will visit some sites that hopefully will show that this psychic stuff is real.
And maybe you can try this out for yourself; and see if you can do this too!
Let’s go – shall we?
Remote Viewing (RV) as it is called, is a particular style of psychic functioning that is very scientifically based; with its’ own protocols and terminology. RV has a long history, going onto multiple decades, where dispassionate scientific verification is a key component.
Our first stop is the Farsight Institute. Even a cursory examination can take quite a while to see all of what is there. You can learn quite a bit about it though this site because they even have RV instruction as well. They also have completed RV paperwork from experienced viewers to show the process they go through. It makes fascinating reading.
And do not forget to follow the links around the rest of the RV universe from here as well. This site is a good start if you want to learn RV, you may be surprised as to your results!
Our next stop is the International Remote Viewing Association (IRVA) which was started in 1999 by some of the pioneers in the RV world. This site has some awesome resources. Especially check out the library and its’ scientific papers and the Remote Viewing info and the resources links on the right side.
Read through the library, you will be amazed at what has been done in remote viewing since this aspect of psychic functioning got its’ start in the early ’70′s.
For a change of pace away from the pure RV stuff, we now head to the Monroe Institute where Robert Monroe did early research into the Out of Body Experience (OOBE) phenomenon and participated in research that led to the development of the Monroe Institutes now famous Hemi-Sync® method of altering brain states through sound. Even though this is unashamedly a commercial site, it is one of the pioneers in the field and one I’d personally love to spend lots of money at when I have the time and money. Even though my main emphasis is on channeling and, to a lesser extent on RV, I have had limited experiences with OOBE’s on two occasions. It was a lot of fun both times, and a skill I really, really want to get good at. So, as I expand my horizons, I intend to learn OOBE’s as well.
OK, so you’ve looked at the sites, and read through some of it; maybe even the scientific papers – are you ready to experience it first hand?
Now, we go to Dojo Psi, and when we get there, you will see a login screen. On the right, you will see a hyper-link that says Register (free). Click on it and register. I’ll wait…
Done? See, that was painless, and free! Now we are at the fun part of the site. On the top left, you will see three choices, and the top one quite rightfully, is Go View! Before leaving – TRY IT!!!! We are an experiential crew here on the Brig Crow Tarot, we believe on trying things out for ourselves! Look around the page, there is an enormous amount of info here. Most especially if you are not quite sure how to do things yet. Very important! On the right column, below TKR notices, is RV Interviews and Transcripts. Take some time to read these! And if you only have time to read one – read the top one where Joe McMoneagle is interviewed. He is often known as Viewer #001 from his time when he RV’d for the U.S. Army. His words, and for that matter – books – are well worth the money, time, and trouble. As you get to the site more and more – hopefully you will! Read the rest, those names are the who’s who of the RV world. And get a task number and see what results you get.
How did you do? Don’t expect awesomeness on the first try, but normally you get the indication that you at least hit the target a little bit.
Did that whet your appetite for more?
Great! The last site we are going to hit is also a Dojo Psi site. It’s called the Panopticon. The concept is simple – instead of the feedback being merely photos, the feedback is live Web-Cams! It is said by experienced viewers (in other words – not me! Though my experience here does bear this out!) that live feedback is best. In my opinion, RVing here does have somehow a different – better – feel than RVing a photo.
I hope you had as much fun as I did exploring a very, very small part of the world of psychic functioning. I hope in my own way I helped to legitimize the concept for you.
